The North Guilford Congregational Church UCC, an historic and vibrant congregation nestled in the scenic hills of Guilford, CT is seeking a Sexton to maintain the church buildings.
Position Summary: The Sexton is responsible to clean and maintain the interior of the Church building and some exterior maintenance of the Church building and Parish Hall.
Primary Responsibilities: 1. Buildings
Cleaning of the Sanctuary, offices, and classrooms
Able to do minor repairs
2. Grounds
Keep exterior drains, doorways, and walkways clear of debris.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of housekeeping and maintenance supplies.
Must be a self-starter.
The ability to climb steps and ladders as well as to bend, pull and push ~35lbs.
Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, and committees.
Flexibility and reliability in maintaining the church after scheduled events.
