The Crosby Fund for Haitian Education
|
As you may know, Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. More than 55% of the adults are illiterate, less than 15% of Haitian students graduate from high school, and only 3 % (of that 15%) go on to
higher education. Without any possibility to go to school, most young people spend their life on the street with no opportunity for employment - literally with no future. More than ever, it is clear that the rebuilding of Haiti must focus on education. The future of Haiti depends on its youth. This year the Crosby fund will support 336 students with full scholarships for primary, secondary, technical and university education. We hope you will join our efforts to help these students with their education. |
